Seven elected BC Trucking Association board directors from Surrey

The election was held at the BCTA’s annual general meeting and management conference in Kelowna on June 3rd.

Seven people from Surrey have been elected to the British Columbia Trucking Association’s board of directors for 2017-2018.

The election was held at the BCTA’s annual general meeting and management conference in Kelowna on June 3rd.

All told, 33 directors were elected.

The BCTA was founded in 1913 and represents more than 1,200 truck and motor coach fleets, with members operating more that 13,000 trucks, employing 26,000 and generating more than $2 billion in revenue in B.C. each year.

The elected directors from Surrey are Rex D’Souza or Prudential Transportation Ltd., Stephanie Gagnon of XLT Transport Inc., Jerry Gallant of First Truck Centre Vancouver Inc., Daman Grewal of Centurion Trucking Inc., Kevin Johnson of Coastal Pacific Xpress Inc., and Deep Rai of HTL Transport Ltd.

Patrick Yearwood, of Yearwood Dyson-Lawyers was elected to the board, to serve by special appointment.
