Surrey Industry Tour to include three routes, stops at 10 businesses

SURREY — Three buses will travel different routes during this year’s Surrey Industry Tour, organized by Surrey Board of Trade.

The annual tour, set for Friday, May 5 from 7:15 a.m. to 2 p.m., will include stops at 10 Surrey-based businesses, as part of SBOT’s goal of showcasing the city’s industries and future developments.

Lee & Associates will provide tour commentary, and lunch at KPU’s Tech Campus will feature guest speaker Rowena Rizzotti, VP of Healthcare and Innovation with Lark Group, who will talk about innovations in Surrey’s health industry.

The first Charter Bus Lines coach will focus on the area of Downtown Surrey, Newton, Fleetwood and Cloverdale, with stops at Surrey Transportation Management Centre (at city hall), Arktos Developments, FortisBC and ABC Recycling.

A second bus will roll to Bridgeview, Port Kells and Cloverdale, with stops at Finishing Trades Institute of BC, Surrey Organic Biofuel Facility and Mansonville Plastics.

Bus #3 will tour to Powertech Labs, Honeybee Centre and Astrographic Industries, all located in the Newton/Cloverdale area.
