VIDEO: Surrey motorcyclist taken to hospital with serious injuries

A motorcycle crashed with an automobile at 96th Avenue and 152nd Street early Thursday morning

GUILDFORD — A 57-year-old Surrey motorcyclist was taken to hospital with serious injuries after a traffic crash at the intersection of 96th Avenue and 152nd Street early Thursday morning.

Surrey RCMP learned of the crash at 5:49 a.m. Corporal Scotty Schumann said a pickup truck heading eastbound on 96th Avenue was turning left onto 152nd Street when it crashed with the motorbike.

He said police are trying to determine who had the right-of-way. The driver of the pick-up remained at the scene.

As for the motorcyclist, Schumann said, “He’s got some significant injuries and he’s still in hospital.”

The intersection was closed to traffic as police continued their investigation.

Police are asking witnesses to call 604-599-0502.
