RICHARDS, Allen I. August 23, 1915 - February 6, 2007. It is with great sadness we announce the sudden passing of our husband & father in Langley Memorial Hospital, 22051 Fraser Hwy., V3A 4H4. Allen is survived by his loving wife, Patricia; sons Larry (Penelope), Rick (Marion) & Craig. Grandchildren Alana, Michael, Lance, Gavin Bryce & Alexandra plus eight great-grandchildren. Allen and family came to the Hazelmere Valley in 1950, where he farmed for a few years then worked for the City of Surrey as a Surveyor & worked up the ranks till he was Superintendent of Operations. He was much respected by the men and women who shared his working life. Allen was a quiet, gentle, polite man who took great pride in his home and flowers. As a father, he always gave wise guidance to his sons, loved them dearly and was always there if they needed his counsel. He will be with us always.
In lieu of flowers, donations to the Emergency Ward of the Langley Memorial Hospital would be greatly appreciated.
A Celebration of his life will be held at Cloverdale United Church, 17575 - 58A Avenue, Cloverdale, on Saturday, February 17, at 2:00 pm.
