Arnold Anton Schwab

November 15, 2017

Aug 31, 1941 - Nov 15, 2017
Arnie (Arnold Anton) Schwab was born in a small Saskatchewan town called Wilkie on August 31, 1941 and passed away surrounded by his family on November 15, 2017.

His family moved to Vancouver when he was 6, where he grew up and started to make his fame as a well known car upholstery (trimmer). He married Flo in Richmond on February 16, 1968, where he began in earnest to build up Arnie's Auto Upholstery.

He was predeceased by his parents Tony & Rose, brother Marlon (Helga). Since 2013 when diagnosed with Multiple Myeloma he bravely struggled to beat the odds.

He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Flo, daughters Marcy, Tricia, son-in-law Mitch, grandkids Jack, Joe & Shelby, brother Doug (Sandy), many nieces, nephews, bounties of beloved friends and his "ARMY".

His humour, work ethic, love of life, family and huge heart will forever be missed but remain always in our hearts.

Many thanks to the gentle, compassionate care from all his oncologists, nurses at Surrey Memorial, VGH and LGH. You truly are amazing people.

In lieu of flowers please donate to the Multiple Myeloma Society of Canada.
