Burgess, Barbara "Marlene" With great sadness we announce the passing of our Beloved Barbara Marlene Elizabeth Lathan Burgess in loving arms at home after a valiant battle with brutal cancer. Loving wife of Charlie Burgess, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend and totally finely principled person is missed more than words can describe. We cherished her positive spirit, outlook, and zest for life. As her husband of 51 years, I miss most the sparkle in her big beautiful eyes, a smile that never failed to light up my life. We laid our beloved to rest in Ocean View Cemetery, Burnaby, BC. Marlene requested no funeral. Love and condolences however can be expressed in our thoughts, memorials and prayers.
