"THE END OF AN ERA"
With sad hearts we announce the passing of our mother Catherine Anne (Girlie) on July 9, 2007 at 101 years of age. Mom was born in Selkirk, MB on October 9, 1905. She was predeceased by her loving husband Elmer in 1982, sister Ellie, 5 brothers Don Norman, Angus, Ian and Colin, daughters-in-law Peggy, Marion and Eleanor, son-in-law Jim and grandson Stephen. She is survived by her daughters Susie, Donna (Ken), 5 sons Harold, Ron (Margaret), Buddy (Pat), Mel (Debbie) and Dennis. She also leaves 19 grandchildren, 36 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great grand-children, and numerous nieces and nephews. She was a loving caring Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great-Great Grandmother and she will be missed. Special thanks to the staff at the Surrey Memorial Hospital for the wonderful care she received. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Surrey Memorial Hospital. Private family gathering.
