GEROW, Charles Lindsay UE

Passed away at Ebenezer's Home, Abbotsford on his birthday Sunday October 26th 2008 at the age of 87 years.

Charlie was born in Souris, Manitoba the 26th October 1921 the youngest of 5 sons born to Perry Ward Gerow and

Margaret Ellen McDougall. His father Perry died in 1958 and his mother Margaret in 1990. His four brothers Andy,

Jack, Dudley and Donald all predeceased him.

The Gerow family came to Surrey in October 1936 and farmed on property on the corner of 96th Ave & 176th St.

Charlie and his wife Elsie settled in the Tynehead area and raised their four children there. Charlie owned and operated Parker Cedar Products, a shingle mill in the Port Kells area from which he retired in 1987.

Predeceased by his first wife Elsie Jamieson in 1986, his grandson Kenny Jones in 1991, his second wife

Connie Hachey in 1994 and his eldest son Norman in 1996.

Survived by his wife Ruth (Kanai) and his children Barbara, Darlene and Roy. Also 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

Burial was October 31 2008 at Valley View Cemetery, Surrey BC.
