Charles William SIMMONS

SIMMONS: Charles William: Passed away in Prince George, B.C. at the age of 92 years. Born in Edam, Saskatchewan on September 9th, 1914. Charlie grew up in the Prince George area where the family farmed. He served in the Canadian Army in WW 2 and was "Mentioned in Dispatches" for bravery while fighting in Italy. After the liberation of Holland he returned to Prince George where he worked in the forest industry. Charlie was an avid flyer and owned his own airplane for many years, he also loved to play the commodity markets and pick blueberries.

He was predeceased by his wife Alice and his brother Herb. Charlie is survived by his sister Edna, his brother Norman (Phyllis), his daughter Cecile, and many nieces and nephews of several generations.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 18th, 2006 at 1 p.m. at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 - 28th Ave., Surrey, B.C. Interment to follow.
