KACHEL – David Henry

February 20, 1954 – February 6, 2007

David was born in New Westminster, B.C., grew up in Surrey and started working at the age of fourteen for his parents gravel trucking firm. David proudly worked on the Selkirk Tunnel project and loved his job of 16 years for BA Concrete in Kamloops as a mixer driver & dispatcher. He was an avid fisherman, loved chocolate and ” The Trailer Park Boys” as well as being a ham radio enthusiast. Survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Karen Kachel, children Aleasha and Matthew, siblings Linda Kachel, Erlene Cox, Bonita Marno, Audrey Danchak, Donald Kachel, their spouses, families and friends. Predeceased by his parents Edward & Jean Kachel. Services will be held Saturday February 17, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Southwest Comm. Baptist Church, 700 Hugh Allen Drive., Kamloops B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the “Terry Fox Foundation”, #303 46165 Old Yale Rd., Chilliwack, B.C. V2P 2P2.
