LEGERE, Deryk Thane
October 9, 1957 - December 25, 2008
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Deryk after a courageous battle with lung cancer. He was admired for his courage, strength and compassion. Deryk was a true leader and mentor, keeping a positive attitude, refusing to let cancer slow him down. He lived his life to the fullest and was highly respected and much loved by all who knew him. Deryk is survived by his devoted and loving wife Jan; their children Michael, Tara (Mike), Ryan (Christine), David (Dianna) and Kyle (Victoria). Nine delightful grandchildren, brothers Doug (Louise) Deryl (Sandy) and sister Holly (John). A very special thank you to Dr. Andre Starke for his care, kindness and friendship throughout Deryk's illness. Family and friends are invited to share in the Celebration of Deryk's Life at Victory Memorial Park Funeral Centre, 14831 - 28th Avenue, Surrey, BC on Tuesday January 6, 2009 at 1:00 pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Surrey Memorial Hospital Foundation in Memory of Deryk Legere.
