MILLER, Don

On September 15, Don Miller, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend, passed away suddenly at age 62 from heart failure. Don is deeply cherished by his family and friends – his passion for God, for people and for all of life will be greatly missed. He will be remembered most for loving and encouraging people and sharing God’s grace with them.

In recent years, his passion found another outlet: working tirelessly as a pioneer to innovate driver training systems, with a vision to see fewer deaths on the road. Don was born in Calgary on April 14, 1947 and over the years lived in many places across B.C. and Alberta.

Don is survived by Laurel, his wife and best friend of 38 years, son Chris (Lucy) and daughter Jennifer, grandchildren Austin and Avery, sister Donna Moore, a large extended family and many friends. He was predeceased by his parents Don and Dorothy, step-mother Millie and sister Gwyn Moreau.

A celebration of life is planned for Saturday, September 26 at 2 p.m. at Westside King’s Church, 3939 69th Street, SW Calgary. For more information, contact 403-912-0307. Donations in memory of Don can be made to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.

“For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago.” (Eph. 2:10)
