DONALD EDWARD KRUISSEN

July 26, 1936 - July 20, 2009

He passed away peacefully with his daughter Sherri by his side after a hard battle with cancer. He was born in Vancouver and attended school there. He worked laying ties on the CPR then at the mill in Tahsis, took up mining at Bralorne, logging in Sechelt & Hope. Then tried welding at John Woods Welding. He married Viola Leary in 1956 & moved to McBride BC with their son Denny. He honed his auto body skills & and the rest is history. He spent the next 40 years in the lower mainland and worked at many body shops. He leaves his wife Vi, children Sherri (David), Sandra (Dave), Mike (Liz). His 3 grandkids Graham, Hannah & Cullen, nephew Ken & niece Angie. He was predeceased by his son Denny (1969), Father, Mother, niece & brother. He loved fishing, especially crabbing with his family & friends, water skiing & boating. Don never went anywhere without his dogs, Mandy and Brew. His love of restoring cars led to 30 years finishing his 59 Ford Convertible, which started as a pile of parts. He enjoyed being a part of the 59 Ford Retractable Club & he was very proud to leave the hospital and show off his completed project at his last club meeting & BBQ.

No funeral by request.
