POWELL, Doris May (nee Moffat/
Paton) passed away on June 30, 2007 in Langley Memorial Hospital at the age of 85 years. She is predeceased by husbands Kenneth J. Moffatt and Ronald J. Powell, and will be sadly missed by her daughters Betty (Jim), Pat (Clint), Marilyn (Gerald), son John, stepchildren Sherri (Len) and Jimmy, 17 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren, brother Albert (Joan), and extended family and many friends. Doris was born October 21, 1921 in Vancouver, BC, where she was raised, moving to North Delta in 1950 where she lived for 40 years before relocating to Langley. Whilst in Delta, Doris was an active member of Royal Heights United Church and spent many hours volunteering and participating in church activities. She love to sing, dance and swim and was an individual who always had a positive outlook on life and a great sense of humor. Funeral services will be held on Friday, July 13, 2007 at 11:00am at the Royal Heights United Church, 9316 116 Street, Delta, BC, followed by a reception then interment at Valley View Memorial Gardens, Surrey, at 2:00pm. Flowers or donations in Doris' memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
