EARL FRANK OWENS

March 23, 1938 - January 16, 2008

Earl succumbed to cancer on January 16th, 2008 at Kamloops Hospice House. He was predeceased by his father Richard E. Owens, sister Pearl, and brothers Richard, Fred and Robert. Surviving Earl are his mother Marjorie Owens Mayo; sisters Charlotte Dunn and husband Floyd, Evelyn Reeder and Marilyn Owens; life long friend Norman Chadderton and his wife Marne, friend David Deering, special nephew Larry Owens; nephews Noel and Nathan Johnson, Erin Owens, Blaine and Joel Reeder, and Craig Owens; nieces Heather Smith, Kathie Hoffman, Lisa Owens, Nicole Armstrong, Kelly and Shea Reeder, Robbin Stoller and Charlene Stewart; his dog Ebony and many other friends and relatives.

In his earlier years Earl and his friend Norman spent time wintering in various places in Central America and another year and a half traveling in other parts of the world. He was always an avid outdoorsman, hunting, fishing and snowmobiling. The last ten years of his life he lived in Logan Lake where he was an active member of Logan Lake Snowriders Club.

Earl was many things, among them a mentor, a thinker, a doer, an artist and a complete magician with wood. Many examples of his gift with wood can be found in homes throughout BC, Alberta, Washington and California.

Earl touched many lives and was well respected by all who knew him. He was very much loved by his family and friends and we will miss his presence in our lives in the years to come.

No service at his request. Donations may be made in his memory to the Kamloops Hospice House at 72 Whiteshield Crescent South, Kamloops, BC, V2E 2S9
