Sadly her time had come, mom passed away peacefully at the age of 99.
Born in Mittweida, Germany 1918, immigrated to Canada in 1952 with us, her two daughters Chris and Karin, to reunite with my dad who had immigrated 6 months earlier.
First home was River Hills, MB, then to Winnipeg, MB, Atikokan ON, Vancouver, B.C., before residing in Vernon B.C. for the next 42 years. Moved to Surrey B.C. in 2004.
Mom was good at many things. She enjoyed crocheting blankets and giving them to her family. Worked to age 65. Liked bingo, and trips to Reno.
August of this year, Wilfried & Jutta from Germany visited her. This made her very happy.
Survived, by daughters, Chris. & Karin. Five grandchildren: Don, Jr., Debbie, Brenda, Rob and Rick. Ten great-grandchildren: Michael, Jonathan, Daniel, Christopher, Cameron, Jamie, Nicole, Megan, Brooklyn. & Madison. One great-great-grandchild, Hunter.
Many thanks to the staff at the Gateway in Surrey for the excellent and kind care she got for 13 years.

Granddaughter, Brenda held a family celebration of life October 21.
