Emeterio PASION

January 9, 2008

PASION, Emeterio (Guys)

Emet peacefully slipped away from us on Wednesday, January 9, 2008. Emet was born in Santa Ana, Pampanga, Philippines on March 14, 1931. Survived by his beloved wife Angelina (Lina) and loving children Marilou, Emelyn (Joey), Roberto (Judith), Eleanor (Marcel) and Catherine (Jeff), he is the cherished grandfather of five, Justine, Andrew, Michael, Francis and David Emet.

A successful businessman and Chemical Engineer, Emet was known for his generosity and religious beliefs. Emet not only provided the funds and means to build the Catholic Church at his birthplace, he also provided for most of the church's poor parishioners. Emet was an avid traveller and lived life to its fullest. Hardwork, high achievement and the value of education was always encouraged and stressed upon his children. A very strong believer of the adage "The More You Learn, The More You Earn" , Emet was also responsible for putting through numerous nephews and nieces through school most of whom are very successful professionals in the Philippines, Canada and the United States.

We'd like to thank Emet's physician, Dr Gary Koss and all the nurses and caring staff of 2South at Richmond General Hospital especially Hilda, Amy, Shalimar and Linda. A special thank you also to Emet's caregivers, Ben and Noel, and the staff at Kinsmen Adult Centre.

Visitation Service will be at from 5 to 9pm on Monday, January 14 at Valley View Funeral Home, 14660 72nd Avenue Surrey BC.
