Age 92, of Cloverdale (Langley) passed away peacefully Thursday, October 1st, at Maple Hill, The Palliative care unit of Langley Memorial Hospital. Gladys was born in Preeceville, Saskatchewan, April 14, 1917 the 2nd child of the late Axel and Mary Anderson. She moved to the west coast with Husband Dana and daughter Patricia during WWII and to the farm in Cloverdale in 1945. Gladys was a strong, caring and devoted person, who enjoyed people and cultivated many life long friendships. She thrived on cooking for family and friends and loved a good game of cards. She used her catering and organizational skills in support of the United Church, Boy Scouts and other groups. She is survived by her son Donald (Dianne) Nova Scotia; son-in-law Jack Morrison (Marg), White Rock; grandsons Doug Morrison (Elaine) New Westminster, Dennis Morrison (Heather) North Vancouver, Dean Stewart (Trina) P.E.I., Darren Stewart (Jeanna) Alaska; 5 great grandchildren, sisters Myrtle, Violet, Alice and brother Elmer. She was pre-deceased her husband Dana; daughters Patricia Morrison and Gail Stewart; grandson Michael Morrison; sister Grace and brothers Alvin, Ernie and Willie. A Memorial Service will be held at the Cloverdale United Church Wednesday, Oct. 14 at 11:00am. Memorial donations may be made to, the Canadian Cancer Society, the Cloverdale United Church or charity of your choice.
