MARTIN, Grace Jo-Anne (Carlsen) It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden and unexpected death of our mother Jo-Anne, age 68 years young, while vacationing with her beloved husband, Tom in Reno, Nevada on January 31, 2006. Jo-Anne will be lovingly remembered for her flair and passion for family and life by her soul-mate of 47 years, Edwin Thompson (Tom) Martin, and devoted children Tom Martin (Sue), Port Coquitlam, Lisa Ofner (Rick), Calgary and Jon Martin (Rhonda), Clinton, and heartbroken grandchildren, Erik, Dylan, Samantha and Craig. Taken too soon, Jo-Anne is predeceased by her mother, Grace Wooster Carlsen (Anderson) and survived by her father, Sigmar Conrad (Cooney) Carlsen, age 89, Surrey. Jo-Anne excelled at everything she set her mind to and was an amazing mother and the 'fun'est Grandmother' ever. Larger than life, and she truly was to her family and friends who consider themselves fortunate to have known her - she will be greatly missed. Jo-Anne wanted to keep it simple and be remembered with a Memorial Celebration to be held on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. at the Fraser Heights Funeral Home, 14835 Fraser Highway, Surrey.
