Born October 27, 1918 in Oostermeer, Friesland, The Netherlands. Died in Langley, BC, on June 15, 2008, at 89 years of age. Married August 29, 1942. Emigrated to Canada from the Netherlands in 1957.
Oma had 7 children, 26 grandchildren, and 26 great grandchildren, and many, many foster children.
She was predeceased by her husband of 61 years, Evert, in 2004, and granddaughter Fiona in 1982.
Oma was a giant in her family, loving everyone dearly and receiving her family's love with grace, kindness and quiet strength. She was a child of God and loved her Lord and Saviour with fervour. He called her Home in His time.
Memorial Services will be held on Friday, June 20 at 2:00 P.M. at The Langley Canadian Reformed Church, 21848 - 52nd Avenue, Langley.
