Jo Gilhespy
Jo Gilhespy was born Joan Gail Bleakley, in Dinsmore, Saskatchewan on January 31, 1926.
She was one of five children born to Dr. TW Bleakley and Gladys Bleakley.
She is predeceased by her husband Chuck, and her four siblings: Steve, Betty, Bunny, and Ted.
She is survived by her four children: Patricia, Miki, Roger (Melanie), and Charlie; seven grandchildren: Jason (Robyn), Michele (Tyson), Sean (Amanda), Kirsten (Chad), Meghan, Olivia, and Grace; four great-grandchildren: Cooper, Isabela, Knox, and Hendrix; and other extended family members.
Jo was diagnosed with Alzheimer's disease in 2010. She showed incredible resilience, and somehow always found ways to demonstrate her caring nature and sense of humour.
During the early morning of November 1, 2017, Jo died peacefully in her sleep.
A service to celebrate Jo's life will be held at 1:30 p.m. on December 9, 2017 at Crossroads United Church, 7655 120th St, Delta BC V4C 6P6.
