KATHERINE BELLEROSE CLARKE; died Sunday April 9, 2006 at the age of 88. She was born August 2, 1917 in St. Albert, Alberta to James and Louise Lake Bellerose. She was raised on the family farm on what is now Bellerose Drive, until her mother’s death when she was nine, then lived in St. Albert and Donatville before homesteading with her family to Wandering River at the age of 14.

She married Francis Clarke of Struan, Saskatchewan in Lac La Biche, Alberta in 1937.

She is survived by three daughters: Lorraine Alp of Chilliwack, B.C., Joyce Hart of Surrey, B.C., Margaret (Paul) Sorensen of Hurricane, Utah and two sons: Barry (Jennifer) Clarke of Mackenzie, B.C., and Richard Clarke of Kelowna, B.C., 17 grandchildren; Shelly, Sharron, Brenda, Barbara, Ronald, Lisa, Rachelle, Carl, Laurie, Bruce, Mackenzie, Cyndi, Shawna, Cristy, Glenn, Richard and Jason, 44 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and her brother Raymond Bellerose of Kikino, Alberta. Kay is pre-deceased by her parents, seven brothers and five sisters and one grandchild, Kathy.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 15, 2006 at 11:00 am at Victory Memorial Services, 2977 King George Highway, Surrey. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes should be sent to a charity of your choice.
