DUNPHY, Kathryn Ann (nee Froese)

March 7, 1960 ~ Dec. 12, 2009

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Kathryn Ann Dunphy. Kath fought a courageous two year battle with cancer and left us Saturday afternoon with her family by her side. Predeceased by her mother Anne and brother Doug, Kath will be lovingly remembered by her husband Malcolm (Mac), son Timothy, daughter Jennifer, father David (Hilda), brother Richard (Suzanne), niece Rebecca (Rhys), nephews Chrisopher and Daniel. She will be deeply missed by father-in-law Murray, sisters-in-law Beverly (Fred), Judy and Diane (Darryl). Kath was born in San Jose, California, but lived most of her adult years in the Fraser Valley. She enjoyed a rewarding career as a registered nurse in several locations in Langley and Surrey. Kath had a strong, loving, adventurous spirit and was a great lover of all things outdoors. She enjoyed many summers spent camping, boating, and fishing in the Campbell River area and was always a familiar sight on the shore of Salmon Pt., waders on, making just one more cast before she called it a night. Kath's love, strength and determination was an inspiration to us all. A Celebration of Kath's life will be held at Bakerview Mennonite Brethren Church, 2285 Clearbrook Rd., Abbotsford, on Tuesday, December 22, 2009 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
