It was with profound sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Michael, with his family by his side. He was born on April 27, 1921 in Ituna, Saskatchewan and died in Surrey, BC on May 30, 2008. He will be greatly missed by his dear wife and best friend of 58 years, Helen. He will also be missed by his children: Ron (Linda); Dave (Kathy); Barry (Dolly): Dan(Maria); Theresa (John); and Kathryn (Bruce) and 8 grandchildren. He is also survived by 3 sisters, 2 brothers and many nieces & nephews. Michael was predeceased by his parents, 3 sisters and 4 brothers. Prayers and a funeral mass will be offered at 7pm on Monday, June 9, 2008 at Holy Cross Ukrainian Catholic Church, 13753 - 108th Avenue, Surrey, BC. Funeral service will be at 2 pm on Tuesday, June 10, 2008 at Valley View Funeral Home, 14660 -72nd Avenue, Surrey, BC with burial and reception to follow. Father Michael Sabara and Father Joseph Ostopowich will be officiating. Mike will always be remembered for his quick wit, smiling face and warm heart.
