Passed away suddenly at Hundred Mile House, August 21, 2007

Born at Melville, SK, February 22, 1961, youngest child of Louis and Katie Mitrenga. Ray is survived by his loving wife, Robyne and devoted son, Tyler Ray, brothers Larry (Terri), Lorne (Orma), Len (Tanya), Tom (Bonnie), sisters Virginia (John), Myrt and Ruth. Also surviving are father-in-law Blaine (Shannon) Moncur, brothers-in-law Dwayne (Barb) Moncur, Shawn Moncur and sister-in-law Angela (Jim) Thistle, many nephews and nieces and extended families.

Ray was born and took his schooling in Melville, SK, moving to the Lower Mainland in his early teens and getting a job as longshoreman at the age of 16, where he was still employed at the time of his passing.

Ray was a loving husband of 26 years and a doting father proud of his son's accomplishments. Through the years fun-loving Ray enjoyed people and especially the outdoors, camping and fishing and good comradeship around a campfire. Ray was happy with his life and all his achievements. He will always be remembered for his wonderful smile and hearty laughter that was infectious to all around him. Ray will be greatly missed and always loved by those that knew him.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 31st at Valley View Chapel, 14660 - 72nd Avenue, Surrey.
