1911 - 2006
Passed away peacefully July 13, 2006 at the age of 95. He is survived by his loving wife of 63 years, Deane; children, Caroline (Dick), Susan, Trish (Cal), Rick (Kathie); 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Dick was born in Calgary, raised in Fredericton NB, then as a teenager moved with his parents to Vancouver. After serving in the Air Force he completed his Masters degree in social work before beginning his career with BC Corrections and later as Administrator of Citizenship.
Dick's charming personality and wit won over anyone he encountered. He drew pleasure from the simple things in life - walking, reading, and especially spending time with his family and friends.
A memorial service will be held at Fraser Heights Funeral Home, 14835 - Fraser Hwy, Surrey on Friday, July 21, 2006 at 2:00 p.m.. No flowers please.
