JOHNSTON - Sidney Robert

of Langley, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday, November 23, 2005 at 90 years of age. Sid was predeceased by his loving wife Vera and is survived by his brother Gordon (Dorothy), son Bob, daughter Tricia (Dennis) and three grandsons, Ron (Angela), Steve, and Mike. In December 1939, Sid left Moose Jaw as L16 in the 1st Division, Royal Canadian Artillery, serving in Britain, Italy, France and Holland until 1945. He returned to BC, eventually becoming manager of the Meat Department at the Surrey Co-Op in Cloverdale until his retirement. A gathering of close friends and family will be held on Saturday, December 3, 2005, to celebrate his life. If you wish to send a donation in his memory, his charity of choice would be the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.
