Wayne Bottlinger born in Hamilton County, Texas, passed away suddenly on September 26, 2005 in Surrey, B.C. at the age of 71. Predeceased by his brothers Earl and Dean. He will be deeply missed by his wife Bernice, daughters; Terry (Ken) Wolgram of Langley, B.C., Sheila (John) of Edmonton, Alberta and Cindy (Kevin) Albert of Coquitlam, B.C., grandsons; Matthew (Lisa), Jeremy and Bryan. He is also survived by his brother Bryan Bottlinger of Hamilton Texas. Wayne will always be remembered for his endearing kindness and generosity towards others, his deep Christian faith and his strong desire for all people to have a saving faith in Jesus. He served as a pastor for the Deaf in Memphis, Tennessee, a faculty member at Jericho School for the Deaf in Vancouver, B.C., and was an administrator for the deaf and blind program at the Vancouver Community College. The family would like to thank the Surrey R.C.M.P. and Surrey Search and Rescue for their efforts in locating Wayne. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to International Deaf Mission Work c/o St. Luke Lutheran Church or to the charity of your choice. A Memorial Service for Wayne will be held on Saturday, October 1, 2005 at St. Luke Lutheran Church, 10167-148 Street, Surrey, B.C. at 2:00 P.M.
