The Certified General Accountants Association of British Columbia (CGA-BC) has given Surrey’s Peter Podovinikoff, CGA, the Community Service Award.
The award honours Podovinikoff for providing outstanding service to his community and recognizes that his exceptional voluntary contributions at the community level further enhances the professional image and profile of Certified General Accountants.
Podovinikoff is the past-president of Envision Financial. During a career that spanned over 40 years, he held leadership roles within the credit union system at the local, provincial, national and international levels. He served on the Economic Council of Canada and the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council of Canada. In addition to being a founding member of the Kwantlen Polytechnic University Foundation Board, he has also served countless organizations.
Podovinikoff has earned the Queen’s golden Jubilee medal and an Honourary Doctor of Laws from Kwantlen.
Podovinikoff has also worked on several developments in Asia, Africa, Europe and South America.
