Drugs, crime and addiction in Surrey will be the focus of another group of stakeholders, including SFU, the City of Surrey, Fraser Health and local businesses at a forum also being held at the SFU Surrey campus on Saturday, Nov. 3, from 1-3:30 p.m., room 2740.

They’ll discuss harm reduction as a strategy to address addiction and drug-related crime, and how marginalized populations experience the city’s spaces and how those are managed.

SFU geography professor Eugene McCann, one of the panelists and an organizer, says the event is intended to further discussions in Surrey about services to homeless and marginally-housed drug users.
