Central City Brew Pub Floor Manager Lyndsey Busch holds up a Raspberry Wheat Ale. The pub was voted the best place to meet new people by Leader readers.

The votes are in: Readers’ Choice Awards celebrate the best of Surrey & North Delta

Here are the top people, places and things for 2014, as chosen by Leader readers.

The votes are in for the third-annual Readers’ Choice Awards, recognizing the best people, places and things in Surrey and North Delta.

More than 10,000 votes were cast in the categories this year, including best medical clinic, best used car dealer, best neighbourhood and many more.

For 2014, voters welcomed new businesses and supported lots of familiar faces and places as well.

So, when you’re looking to grab some great take-out, if you need a stylin’ suit, or you just want to do something on a rainy day, check out what The Leader’s readers recommend

(To see the results as they appear in print, check out our Nov. 18 e-Edtion).

Our thanks to all those who participated in this year’s awards and congratulations to all the top picks.

Also congratulations to Surrey’s Mydhili Furtado, who won the 2014 cash prize of $1,000 for taking part in the voting process.

For your chance to win next year, be sure to vote in the Readers’ Choice Awards in 2015. Voting begins in October.
