3 things to do this weekend (in Surrey, White Rock, North Delta)

1. In a new "Community Treasures" display at Surrey Museum, local chefs share their secrets, complete with tools of the trade and history of their dishes, in "Fuse the Foods: Surrey Eats and Treats," an exhibition that opened Tuesday (Feb. 10). Featuring dishes from Surrey's diverse culinary landscape, local cooks and family-run restaurants are showcased. Admission to  Surrey Museum (17710 57A Ave.) is free, open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturdays.

2. Surrey kids have talent, and if you need convincing, check out the new "Art by Surrey Elementary Students" exhibit at Surrey Art Gallery (13750 88 Ave.), kicking off Saturday (Feb. 14). As part of the annual Fine Arts Festival des Beaux-Arts, see new works by students from the Surrey School District's elementary schools (and some from White Rock), accompanied by artist and teacher statements. The exhibit is open from noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is by donation.

3. Not sure what your plans are for Valentine's Day? Want a combination of laughs and partial nudity? The "Cheesecake Burlesque Revue" will deliver both on Saturday night at the Surrey Arts Centre, "with a mission to celebrate classic burlesque with a modern twist." Seductiveness, comedic timing and more are promised in this unique performance. Tickets range from $25 to $40, and can be purchased at the SAC box office. Show starts at 8 p.m.
