SURREY — A Sal Ferreras-led band performed a benefit concert for Arts Umbrella programs in Surrey last Friday night (Feb. 12).
The event, at Surrey Arts Centre, saw Ferreras, a longtime percussionist on the Vancouver scene, revive his Drum Heat experience for an evening of music.
Every year or two since 1986, Ferreras has invited musician friends of his to bring their talents to the rhythm-centric collaboration.
