NORTH DELTA — Crossroads United Church doesn't have any church bells to ring, so parishioners drummed up a different kind of event to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the United Church of Canada.
A group of people gathered in the shade of the church courtyard Wednesday afternoon (June 10) to form a drum circle and sing some songs.
The hour-long drum session was organized to "make a joyful noise" to mark the United anniversary.
The "90 drums for 90 years" didn't quite materialize, however, as only a couple dozen people got drumming at the church, in the 7600-block of Scott Road.
