This is the week to rummage through your attic and check out the storage area in your garage.
Do you have an heirloom or antique? Do you know its value?
Bundle up that treasured item and bring it to the seventh-annual Surrey Antiques off the Roadshow at the Surrey Art Gallery (13750 88 Ave.) on Saturday, May 7 from 12:30–3:30 p.m.
All items will be given a verbal appraisal by experts Linda Devine (jewelry), Jim Finlay (fine art) and Jeff Harris (aboriginal and Inuit art, and collectibles).
The experts will as ask questions such as “Where did the item come from?”, “How much did you pay for it?”, “Is it a family heirloom?” and “What do you know about its history?”
The cost is $10 for the first item and $5 for each additional item.
This is a drop-in event, so registration is not required. Observers are welcome. The event is sponsored by Surrey Art Gallery Association (SAGA).
