SOUTH SURREY — Nikita Graham is looking for a little help to plan a big birthday party for a young girl named Ella-Ray Lewis.
Ella-Ray, who turns eight this coming Monday (Dec. 29), will undergo the 30th operation of her young life in January, due to a rare skin condition known as Giant congenital nevus.
“She is now clear of cancer, but now has a severe back problem that leaves her in an upper-body cast that is a quarter of her body weight,†said Graham, a singer and model who first met the girl last summer.
“I’ve fallen in love with her, she’s so sweet,†said Graham, who is now planning a birthday party for Ella-Ray, with a date sometime in January.
“My idea is to invite her class from school for a big party, for kids,†said Graham, a local musician and model.
A Facebook page called “A Special Day For Ella-Ray†has been created, with more than 2,000 members already signed up, and party sponsors are sought.

“Ella-Ray has inspired me to start my own princess-party company, and I’d like to eventually visit other sick kids as well,†Graham told the Now.
