The Cloverdale Midget C3 team held a fundraiser for the Burn Fund’s kids camp on Saturday, Dec. 15.

The team of hockey players were stationed outside of the Cloverdale Crossing Save-On-Foods (17745 64 Ave.) on Dec. 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., hosting a barbecue and collecting donations in firefighter boots and hockey skates.

The fundraiser was a community effort, made possible through the volunteering of the team and coach Adam Campbell, the food and space provided by Cloverdale Crossing Save-On-Foods, and a collection of hot rods from the Pacific International Street Rod Association.

They raised a total of $4,066 in the one-day barbecue fundraiser.

Their goal is to send two kids to camp, and so they continue to look to the community to help them raise an additional $1,750.
