For two years, Crossroads United Church (7655 120 St.) has offered free meals on the fourth Saturday of every month for seniors, folks on disability, parents or grandparents with young children.
On Feb. 8, Crossroads will host a fundraising dinner to showcase the community dinners and to highlight the social conditions in the neighbourhood that have made these community dinners such a necessity.
Tickets are $20 per person or $150 for a table of eight.
Doors will open at 4:30 p.m., and prior to the dinner, there will be a silent auction, testimonials and a viewing of the Crossroads kitchen equipment wish list.
