Community input sought at second civic summit

SURREY — The City of Surrey is seeking resident input into the planning of its second Community Summit, set for May 9 at SFU's Surrey campus.

Surrey's Community Summit, first held in 2013, is intended to encourage open dialogue about the city, provide resources, spread awareness about civic issues and enhance engagement.

The summit's planning team hopes residents will complete an online survey, looking for

input on workshop topics and themes for this year's event.

Find the survey online at Surrey.ca/communitysummit.

The city describes the event as "an opportunity for residents to meet others and make new connections, build skills and knowledge, and learn about the City of Surrey."

Registration for the event will begin next March.
