DIVING: Surrey coach Beverly Boys named to Order of Canada

SURREY — Beverley Boys, a South Surrey diving coach, has been honoured by the Governor General of Canada for her selfless dedication to the sport.

Boys is the founder of White Rock Divers.

She was appointed to the Order of Canada, according to a news release, which stated Boys was being recognized for "her contributions to the sport of diving as an athlete, coach, official and judge."

Boys was one of 10 British Columbians to receive the honour.

Recipients will be invited to a ceremony at Ottawa’s Rideau Hall to receive their awards.
