Fire TransLink board

Surrey - The Editor, Re: "We said 'No.' Now what?" the Now, July 9. I was delighted with the result - the 'No' vote was larger than I expected. It is apparent that the general public is more intelligent than our civic politicians and the board of TransLink.

What needs to happen now - and, of course, it will not - is that the TransLink board be fired and the politicians told to stick to politics.A new board should be appointed with appropriate qualifications and the public kept fully in the picture as to what is happening.I realize I am writing about 'pie in the sky,' but then such is so typical of Canadian politics.Keith ParkerSurrey
