Fire TransLink board

Surrey – The Editor, Re: “We said ‘No.’ Now what?” the Now, July 9. I was delighted with the result – the ‘No’ vote was larger than I expected. It is apparent that the general public is more intelligent than our civic politicians and the board of TransLink.

What needs to happen now – and, of course, it will not – is that the TransLink board be fired and the politicians told to stick to politics.

A new board should be appointed with appropriate qualifications and the public kept fully in the picture as to what is happening.

I realize I am writing about ‘pie in the sky,’ but then such is so typical of Canadian politics.
