LETTER: Booze and groceries are a bad mix in Surrey

The Editor,

Re: "Easier access to alcohol isn’t our biggest priority," the Now, April 9.

We are in full agreement with Tom Zytaruk’s well written column about the easy access to alcohol made available in Save-On Foods in South Surrey recently.

We have been regular customers of Save-On Foods at their South Surrey 32nd Avenue location for more than 20 years.

After returning from vacation, we noticed some changes being made behind closed off areas. When we went to stock up on our groceries, instead of rearranged grocery shelves we saw row upon row of liquor bottles.

Goodbye Save-On Foods. We’re out.

Unfortunately, the other stores in the same area will lose business because of this foolish decision as well.
