LETTER: New city hall a horrible place for Surrey's glorious tree

Potential front page shot.

The Editor,

I would like to know why the City of Surrey Christmas tree - the one taxpayers pay for - is now hidden away in the courtyard of city hall, where only library patrons and staff and city hall employees can see it.

I would think that its former location at Central City Mall, or the Holland Park Plaza at King George and Old Yale, would be better spots so that all residents of Surrey can drive or walk by and see it.

Where it is now, a person would need to make a special trip to see it - and pay for parking. To whoever thought that City Hall plaza would be a good place so only the privileged few can enjoy it - it was a horrible idea.
