LETTER: Story on trailer park's uncertain future emphasized need for affordable housing

The Editor,

Re: "Council has work cut out for it on Park Mobile," the Now, July 2.

The government needs to regulate developers - like for every million-dollar condo complex they put up, require them to put up one affordable housing complex at any location. That way, there would be some kind of affordable housing always being built.

I work full time and I believe that I should have the option to be able to buy my own home. Right now, there aren't any options for me to do that. I can't afford $300,000 for a onebedroom apartment.WestStone just bought the property here and it is in here ripping homes down.

I can't even explain what it feels like to live in this construction zone. It's horrible. All of a sudden it seems like you are being forced out of your home.
