LETTER: Surrey’s $100 recreation levy sticks it to fixed-income families

Re: "$100 levy shocks 100-year-old," the Now, June 18.

I am having a really bad time over this $100 levy. I feel that the City of Surrey is really sticking it to those of us on a pension or a fixed income. Maybe if our new mayor Linda Hepner hadn’t spent so much of our money pushing her ‘Yes’ vote, she wouldn’t have to be digging into our pockets again.
