SURREY — Liquor is now for sale at Surrey Urban Farmers' Market.

Craft spirits from Surrey-based Dragon Mist Distillery and also Fort Wine Company are on display as another market happens this afternoon (Wednesday, July 29) at Surrey City Hall Plaza.

"Stop by for a bottle of cranberry or blueberry wine made from local berry farms and fruit farmers in British Columbia," said market manager Alison Pocock in a press release.

"Dragon Mist was at the market last week, (and) this week will be Fort Wines' first time."

In 2014, the provincial government relaxed rules to allow for the sale of alcohol at farmers' markets in B.C.

Meanwhile, the market is staging a "survey contest" that will see someone win a $100 voucher. The draw will be held Sept. 9.

The market is held every Wednesday afternoon.
