SURREY - Police have a 39-yearold man in custody after he crashed his car into a fence and allegedly assaulted an officer on Saturday night.
At around 9:30 p.m., RCMP received calls that a white Ford Taurus had gone off the road and crashed into a fence near Kildare Drive and 152nd Street, striking a guard rail and then ending up in a residential yard.Police said the driver, who was driving while prohibited, was combative. The suspect is known to police, and faced outstanding warrants at the time of the arrest.The suspect is now facing multiple charges, including the assault of a police officer.
