The long-awaited Guildford Aquatic Centre is now open.
The new eight-lane, 50-metre pool opened Monday, March 23. It can be used for regional and provincial competitions, and locals can use it for leisure swimming, aquacize classes and waterslides.
The Guildford Aquatic Centre is a 75,000-sq.-ft. expansion to the existing Guildford Recreation Centre, at 15105 105 Ave.
The facility is now open to the public with a regular schedule of public swims and registered activities.
A grand opening celebration will be held in the spring.
