New play area for kids at Central City Shopping Centre

SURREY — Kids have a new area for play at Central City Shopping Centre.

The Play Central playground opened Wednesday (May 20) near the Winners store at the mall.

A grand-opening celebration featured juggler Mike Battie, the Rockin’ Robin & the Family Tree show and appearances by Elsa and Anna from the movie Frozen.

"Central City is proud to receive positive feedback from many families that have visited the shopping centre to bring their kids to Play Central," mall management said in a release.

"The new play area provides a health environiment for young kids and it has become an entertainment component in the shopping centre that will continue to increase family visitation. parents can bring their children to play, have fun and burn off energy."

The mixed-use Central City development includes 640,000 square feet of retail space.
