Members of the North Surrey Secondary School Leadership 12 team, along with principal Raj Puri (front), presented a cheque to Ashley Bergson of the Surrey Food Bank for $2,600 on Thursday.
The school was awarded the money by Mac's convenience stores after raising the most food and money during the food bank's Christmas food drive.
However the students decided to donate their winnings back to the Surrey Food Bank.
During the Christmas food drive the school raised 4,000 lbs of food and $4,000.
